1. What is the eligibility for online MCA?

Indian students

Educational qualification

Candidates must have a 10+2+3-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications/ Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized university/institution, or an equivalent qualification as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or other competent bodies.

Candidates who have completed 10+2+3-year bachelor’s degree in other streams like Science, Business Administration, Business Management, Arts & Humanities, Commerce, etc. are also eligible for MCA admission but they have to attend and complete a compulsory bridge course in fundamentals of computer and IT along with their Semester 1 courses. Additionally, candidates who have not studied mathematics during their 10 + 2/ bachelor’s degree programs must attend and complete a compulsory bridge course in mathematics along with other semester 1 courses.

Grades

Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in graduation (45% for reserved categories).

International students

Candidates who are not Indian citizens or residing outside India and holding NRE or PIO status will be billed an international fee for respective degrees & may need to submit documents mentioned but not limited to CV, address proof, valid visa, PR card & passport copy as part of the application process.

Yes, NRIs and foreign nationals can pursue Manipal University Jaipur’s online degree programs.

3. What is the application fee for Manipal University Jaipur’s online programs?

The application fee for Manipal University Jaipur’s online programs is INR 500 (inclusive of GST). Please note that the application fee is non-refundable.

4.Is it mandatory for all online students to have an Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) account?

Yes. From the academic year 2022-23, it has been made mandatory for all universities offering courses in online or distance learning modes to create ABC accounts for all their students as per the UGC regulation and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) is a digital storehouse of the credits earned by students during their academic journey. It is a credit bank for students that allows them to accumulate, verify, transfer, and redeem their credits. This is an initiative from the Ministry of Education, Government of India to enable academic flexibility and students’ mobility across multiple Higher Education Institutes (HEIs).  The University Grants Commission (UGC) has mandated that every learner who is an Indian national needs to submit the following details for creating their ABC account:

  • Roll number issued by the university
  • Aadhar number (12 digits)
  • Name (as mentioned in Aadhaar)
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth
  • Mobile number (linked to their Aadhaar)

The university will reach out to enrolled students for details required to create their ABC accounts and will provide these details to UGC. Once the ABC account is created, the credits earned by the learners in their term-end exam will get deposited into their respective ABC accounts which they can redeem within 7 years. 5.What are the documents required for admission into Manipal University Jaipur’s online degree programs?

Mandatory documents:
